Projet EUCOR
Ancient Maps of the upper Rhine
The EUCOR consortium and the General Archives of the Land in Karlsruhe library project aim is to digitalize the collection of ancient maps of the middle course of the Rhine region since the river is what links the partners.
The theme selected for the project was the rectification of the Rhine's course, which took place all throughout the 19th Century, and is studied in numerous maps and atlases published between 1800 and 1890.
